How can we help?

How to redirect contacts from one Automation to another

In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to connect different automations in Mailvio.

Before proceeding, there are two things you need to create: the first automation and the second automation that users will move to after completing the first one. Follow these steps:

Step 1: Create the First Automation

  • Access your Mailvio account and navigate to the Automations section.
  • Create a new automation and name it.
  • Set up the email sequence and group associated with this automation.
  • Save and Exit the automation.

Step 2: Create the Second Automation

  • Create a new automation and name it.
  • Design this automation according to your requirements. It can be as simple or complex as you want.
  • Pay attention to the trigger selection. Instead of the typical trigger, see under Others and select When a contact is sent here from another automation.
  • Add a delay in the automation if needed to avoid overwhelming your contacts with emails.
  • Create the desired email content for this automation.
  • Once everything is set, Activate the automation.

Step 3: Connect the Automations

  • Go back and access the First Automation.
  • Add a goal step to connect this automation to the Second Automation.
  • Choose the goal type as Reached this Step.
  • Then select Enter Another Automation.
  • Select the Second Automation as the step to enter.
  • Save the changes, and Activate the automation this time.

Now, when users join the First Automation group, they will go through the email sequence. Upon reaching the last step, they will be directed to the Second Automation. This process can be repeated to connect additional automation sequences.

Remember to be mindful of the delays between emails to avoid overwhelming your contacts. If you have further questions, please reach out to us here
